At Arabic Courses, we teach with quality and efficiency in mind. We aim to maximise the students time while minimising stress in learning a new language. The ways in which we have increased the quality and efficiency of our lessons is by the following.
* Small class sizes
* Short lessons
* Group participation
* Completeness in our study
* Engaging homework
* Supplementary notes & extracurricular aids
* Supportive and interactive forum
* Inclusive quality materials
* Flexible teaching styles
* Friendly environment
* Islamic integration
* Public resources
Small classes
At Arabic Courses, we have a maximum class size of 7 people. Through our experience, we have found that 7 people on average is the optimum size for a class in order for it to be productive and supportive. The way in which we structure our lessons depends highly upon group interaction and participation. Any group larger than 7 begins to become a strain both on the teacher and the student. Thus we keep our classes small, allowing the teacher to focus upon the students and their development.

Group participation

Completeness in our study
What is meant by this title is the method of reading all the material as a group. Reading is a very important part in learning another language as it strengthens the students ability to pronounce the words correctly, and to make sure that they have covered the material in its entirety. We, as part of our method of teaching, require all the students to take part in reading the material, and none of it is left as homework without being read in class. Even the elements that are given as homework are covered as a group in class so that the student can help and support each other, learn from each others mistakes and encourage the students to work together in completing their homework.
Engaging homework
We always give our students homework where possible and then cover that homework in class. This approach allows the student to be corrected by their teacher and piers and to learn from the mistakes of others. This method of ours allows for the student to practice their handwriting, and to constantly review their handwriting as they read it out.
Supplementary notes & extracurricular aids

We also offer the option to take home an iPod Shuffle as part of our scheme called "Shuffle Up". On the iPod, there will be additional audio supplements that is aimed at getting the student speaking and accustomed to hearing Arabic. This progressive and interactive audio lesson will help make the student more consistent with their homework as it is a small device with a battery life of up to 24 hours of continuos play. This allows them to take it anywhere and to be studying even when on the way to work or while doing the shopping.
We also provide as part of the "Shuffle Up" scheme, recordings of the lessons so that the student can review previous lessons, make additional notes and catch up on any missed lessons. This can all be done on the go, wherever they are.

Inclusive quality materials
Teaching materials are inclusive in their original form and we do not give low quality photocopies. We provide you, inclusive in the fees, the books needed to complete the course. There are no hidden charges or surprise fees to complete the required lessons.
Flexible teaching styles
Although we have fixed times by which our curriculum must be completed, sometimes a class may find the lessons a bit challenging, and may need extra time. We do not rush people through the lessons and only move on once the lesson has been completely understood. We believe that we are here to facilitate the learning process, and to make the student feel comfortable. We do not add more stress upon the student by giving them deadliness that ultimately demotivates the student and makes them lose hope when one falls behind the given targets. So to avoid such potential problems, our classes move with the pace of the students. So if they can move fast and are able to retain everything that is given to them, we give them more with additional information outside of the normal curriculum, but if they are struggling as a whole, we slow the pace down to suit their needs.
Islamic integration
In every lesson and whenever possible we relate our lessons to Islam, as we believe that the focus of studying Arabic is to bring the student closer to Islam and to understanding the revelation. This is one of the main reasons why we chose the Madeenah series as the core of our curriculum as its focus is around understanding the Qur’aan and the Sunnah. Early in the curriculum, examples of grammatical and morphological principles are re-enforced with examples from the Qur’aan and Sunnah. This is one of the many unique features of how we teach.
