    masculine and feminine in Arabic

Are all non living objects described in feminine, and which parts of the body are described in feminine/masculine terms?

  2. #2

    Non Living things

In Arabic, non-Living thing can be either masculine or feminine. The most obvious way to see whether a word is feminine is if it has at the end

    ىة

There are some words that do not have that at the end but are still feminine , but that is not the norm.

    body parts

All limbs that are in pairs are feminine, like hands, arms, legs, etc.

Other than that, they are masculine.
