    Ok, I do remember this now after learning what حشف means. The proverb literally translates as "Do you [combine] poor quality dates and bad measure?" and it refers/is said to someone who combines two bad qualities or characteristics.




    I should've added that the asl of the word is iztād (ازتاد) but the tā' is replcaed with a dāl in this case, since it is preceded by a zāy.
    I just noticed that you put the rule here...lol

    Where is it so that the other brothers can refer to it (if they ever use this forum)

    It comes after the chapter on infa`ala (انفعل) but before the chapter on the wazn if`alla (افعلّ) lol.
