Key Stage 1
Key Stage 1 Arabic
This class will teach the student how to recognise, read and write the Arabic letters. This will include learning necessary rules of tajweed in order to perfect the correct pronunciation of each letter. This lesson will cover how to recognise the letters in the beginning, middle and end of the word, and how to combine between words.
These lessons begin with you learning how to recognise the letters on their own, then at the beginning, middle and end of a word. Once you master that, you will be able to put them together and read words and sentences.
Once you have a good ability to recognise the Arabic letters you will then move on to reading, with the aim of applying the rules of Tajweed. The purpose of Tajweed is to give each letter its due right, making them comprehensible to the listener.
Plenty Of Practice
A major part of this program is for you to receive plenty of practice. Only via constantly monitored practice can one become proficient in reading Arabic & the Qur’an.
